Why this format transfers

The arcade video is not a funny 3D video. It is a causal chain through hidden internals ending in a measured number, then a substitution: the T-Rex claw gap replaces the slit in the blade. Steady has the identical shape. The liver step is the bottleneck, it fades with age, and the scoop substitutes for it. The product does in the ad exactly what it does in the body.

The three diamonds pain · limiting belief · belief gained
#PainLimiting belief brokenNew fact
1The heart needs a thing his body is making less of"It's in his food"Dogs don't eat taurine. They build it.
2Same bowl, less coming out, and it's silent"Not my dog"Big dogs make less. Some breeds are born slower. Grain free makes it worse.
3You can't give him his young body back"So I'll grab a heart chew"Vets dose in grams. A chew carries a sprinkle. Capsules take four to eight a day.

Diamond 2 is the self identification beat. The viewer sorts himself into the affected group, which is what drives the click. Diamond 3 closes on arithmetic rather than a claim, which is why it survives Meta review.

Diamond 1 · What it is

0:00 to 0:11
The machine gap opens at 0:00, pays at 0:05
tVOStart frame
0:00There's one thing your dog's heart cannot work without.Golden retriever PUPPY eating from a speckled ceramic bowl, warm kitchen, macro on kibble
0:03His body used to make plenty of it.The heart close. Brass dial set into the chest wall, needle high. Diegetic prop, never overlay
0:05Dogs don't eat taurine. The bowl again, red X wiping across it
0:06They build it.INSIDE THE LIVER: brass production line running hot, gold taurine pellets off the belt. Hero image
0:08Protein goes in. The liver converts it.Two labelled molecules riding the belt into the machine
0:10The heart runs on what comes out.Gold pellets travelling the arrow path to the heart

Diamond 2 · Who and why

0:11 to 0:24
The decline four sorting criteria, all sourced
tVOStart frame
0:11At one, that line runs hot.Brass counter reading YEAR 1, belt at full speed, sparks
0:13By six, it's slowing.Counter spinning forward 2, 3, 4, 5. Belt dimmer, lamps going out one by one
0:15Same bowl. Same food.Identical speckled bowl, identical kibble. SHOT MATCHED to 0:00
0:17Less coming out.Brass dial, needle now low. SHOT MATCHED to 0:03
0:18Big dogs make less than small ones.Split frame, small dog's line fast, large dog's crawling
0:20Some breeds are born slower.Line up silhouette, several breeds, dials at different levels
0:22And grain free diets make it worse.Legume heavy kibble close, dial ticking down

Diamond 3 · The misdirection, then the dose

0:24 to 0:45
The substitution person shifts to third at 0:24
0:24So to fix it,Six year old dog beside the machine, green question mark above him
0:25you'd need the factory he had at one.Brass counter, hand hovering
0:27You'd need him. Six years ago.Counter SPINNING BACKWARD 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, light spilling out
0:29[beat]THE PUPPY FROM SHOT ONE steps out. Same markings, same collar. Both dogs in frame
0:30So plug the puppy in. Let him run the line.Absurd hero shot: puppy harnessed to the old dog's line, brass cabling, gold pouring. Machinery only
0:33Or.HARD CUT. Silence. Just the jar on the counter. Hold a full beat
0:34Skip the factory.Scoop over dinner. Cutaway: gold BYPASSES the liver, arrow straight to the heart
0:35But vets dose taurine in grams.Brass scale, gram weights stacking
0:37A chew can't carry that.Heart chew cross sectioned, one tiny speck of gold inside it
0:39Capsules take four to eight a day.Capsules piling up beside a single scoop
0:41One level scoop. Already made.Label macro, 1,000mg per level scoop. Dial climbing behind it
0:43On dinner. Every dinner.Scoop disappearing into the bowl
0:44Turns out the puppy was useful after all. Both dogs side by side, puppy looking pleased with itself

Dosing discrepancy · needs Jack

The dose physics argument is the ad's strongest weapon and it points somewhere awkward. Published vet guidance (Stern lab, UC Davis) is 500 to 1,000mg twice daily under 25kg, and 1 to 2g twice daily over 25kg. The PDP instructs one 1,000mg scoop once daily, which sits at or below the bottom of that range, and well below it for a large dog.

So the ad invites arithmetic our own label does not survive. Three ways out:

  1. Move the label and PDP to twice daily. Also doubles consumption rate and helps the subscription maths.
  2. Keep once daily and soften the VO to something like "vets work in grams, not sprinkles" so we never invite the comparison.
  3. Resize the scoop.

Craft notes for the chief pass

  • "Or." at 0:33 is the most important word in the script. It is the deflate. It converts the gag into relief and makes the scoop feel like mercy instead of a pitch. Hold a full beat of silence on it.
  • Shot match 0:15 to 0:00, and 0:17 to 0:03. The identical bowl and the identical dial framing ARE the argument. If those two pairs do not match exactly, Diamond 2 collapses.
  • Same dog across ages. The 0:00 puppy and the 0:24 six year old must read as unmistakably one animal: same breed, same markings, same collar. Otherwise the time travel gag collapses into "a puppy turned up." Lock one character reference and drive every shot from it.
  • The dial is a physical brass prop, never a floating HUD number. Zack D readouts are always diegetic.
  • Person shifts at 0:24, "your dog" becomes "he" the moment the misdirection starts. That shift is itself a genre marker of the turn.
  • Steady is never named. The jar just arrives as the only thing that survives the arithmetic.
